Publication and Payment Policy
At The Operating Room Global Journal (TORGJ), we are committed to supporting equitable access to scientific publishing while sustaining high-quality, open-access operations. As part of the restructuring of The Operating Room Global (TORG), all active registered TORG members with valid membership IDs are now eligible for unlimited APC-free publications in TORGJ during their active membership period.
Authors who are not registered members of TORG are required to pay a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) as listed in the APC schedule found HERE. Non-members may apply for only one waiver per calendar year, subject to eligibility criteria, editorial approval and funding availability.
To enjoy continued publishing benefits, contributors are encouraged to become registered TORG members. Membership not only provides free publishing but also access to research collaboration, training, and global networking opportunities across the perioperative and surgical community.

Ethical Integrity & Transparency
The Operating Room Global Journal (TORGJ) adheres strictly to the principles and standards set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors), and other international publishing ethics frameworks. Each manuscript submitted to TORGJ undergoes plagiarism screening, conflict-of-interest review, and ethical compliance checks before acceptance to ensure fairness and accountability throughout the publication process.

Research Misconduct Policy
TORGJ maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward research misconduct in all its forms, including plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, redundant or duplicate publication, and unethical research practices. All submissions are screened using plagiarism-detection software, and suspected cases are investigated following COPE guidelines. Authors found to have violated ethical or research integrity principles may face manuscript rejection, publication retraction, or reporting to affiliated institutions and funding bodies. TORGJ encourages authors and reviewers to report any concerns confidentially to [email protected].

Submission Process
Upload your full manuscript as a single Word document via the TORGJ Manuscript Submission Online form at the bottom of this page. The manuscript must include the title page, all tables, and all figures embedded in the text. Additional documents may be uploaded separately where applicable. All files should be clearly named using Manuscript Title + Corresponding Author Name.

Manuscript Preparation
1. Language
All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English (UK or US, consistently). Authors who are non-native speakers are encouraged to seek professional language editing.
2. Format
- File Type: Microsoft Word (.docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) all around
- Page Numbers: Bottom right corner

Include:
- Full manuscript title
- Author(s) full names, affiliations
- Corresponding author (name, email, mailing address, ORCID)
- Word count (excluding abstract, tables, references)
5. Abstract and Keywords
An informative abstract of โค250 words must precede the main text. Original Research articles require a structured abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion).
Provide 3โ6 keywords using MeSH terms where possible.
Figures and Tables
- All figures should be submitted in high resolution (โฅ300 dpi, JPEG or PNG).
- Tables should be editable, not pasted as images.
- Each figure/table should be cited in the text and numbered consecutively.
- Provide descriptive captions for each.
References
- Use Vancouver (numerical) referencing style.
- Cite in-text using superscript numbers (e.g., Smith et al.ยน).
- List references in the order of appearance.
- Include DOIs or URLs for online articles where available.

Ethical Considerations
- All research involving human subjects must include a statement on ethical approval and informed consent.
- Clinical trials must be registered (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov).
- For animal studies, follow institutional and international guidelines.
- The journal follows the COPE guidelines for publication ethics.
Authorship and Contributions
Only individuals who meet the ICMJE authorship criteria should be listed. Use CRediT taxonomy to describe each authorโs contribution.
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

Authors will receive detailed feedback and may appeal editorial decisions via written explanation.

TORGJ is an open-access journal, and all content is freely available.

Post-Acceptance & Publication
- Accepted articles are copyedited, proofed, and published online first.
- A digital object identifier (DOI) is assigned to each article.
- Authors must approve final proofs before publication.
